  • Update from Fr. Selvin

    I got this from Fr. Selvin this morning. He speaks of God saving his life when he was young. He has a serious heart defect. When he wa 7 he had open heart surgery -- not an easy thing to recover from for anyone, let alone someone so young. He is so vibrant in his faith and in his mission. Please keep up your prayers!


    Here is raining a lot, and now after lacking for long time and sufering because of drought, the rain is too much, the whether is misbehaving as the people as well.


    Here, when I came back from the place where I went for 2 months I got things a bit diferent the christians are knowing more about their responsability for watever is happening, there are going to be baptised more people and not easy to get marriages but people want to receive the blessings of the sacraments and the number of christians is increasing.

    I read the letter that was addressed to Fr. Petter who is my companion and to me, introducing themselves as the church counsel, but the enemies were using their names because we and the bishop with that church counsel had a meeting on last monday, but they say and confirmed that they had never done such evil things, but we have some suspect because we had started an orphanege together with a german who is the manager of an NGO which has some projects here, and we refused to continue helping to go ahead because of lacking transparency from his part so for that we doubt much about him to be the intelectual criminal, he has formed a comitee that is helping him and also we doubt about them, including the chairman that is catholic. We can not say much about because we are only suspicious, they gave us 15 days to leave if no they will kill us. Now, if I or the other fr go to say mass we carry a body guard that the goverment has put to us, but is not enough what I need in this time is the protection from God and they are not jocking,

    God has been always my security, He saved me from death since I was only 7 years old and I feel that my mission is only at the beggining, is not enough what I have done for him, and He has done a lot for me, only I wait for the will of God. Anyway, I still continue as if nothing is happening, doing the same work, and now even more, just pray for me if posible in the church or whenever you pray, thank you, may God bless you, your in Christ Fr.
