  • Father Selvin update

Those of you who have been following this blog for a while might remember that I asked for prayers for a missionary friend in Africa who was in danger from his Muslim neighbors  (if you don't remember, you can read it here, and here, and here, and here)  . It had been a long time since we heard from him, so I sent yet another note to him last week. This morning we finally got a response (remember he normally speaks Spanish and has to try to translate the best he can):

Hi! I am happy to hear from you, for me things have being fine, I thank you a lot because of your prayers, God has being great to me, I thank him because I have good friends like you, .... Greetings to all and tell them that I remember them much,

yesterday I was with some girls who are consacrating their lives to God in prayers and they are a big group which is working hard to be good. They are going to do their first promises with God, and our bishop will pray for them so that officialy they will be living the example of Mary.

Things are ok, is only that I am feeling to go or to ask for transfer; the problem is that there is nobody who is willing to come and replace. Anyway only God knows everything. God bless you, Fr. Selvin Garcia I.
