I talked with Bernadette last night. Things are not going well in Stephanie's recovery. Stephanie still has not idea the extent of what has happened to her. She thinks that if she can just get out of the nursing home (now the hospital), she can go back to life as it was before. To that end, it seems she cooked up a little escape plan with Buzz. He came to Nevada and got a hotel room. While Stephanie was no the phone with him, one of the nurses happened by. Realizing what was up, she reported the incident. Buzz soon ran out of money and headed home. Now Stephanie feels she has lost him. Every time she has any contact with him either by phone or in person, she goes backward in her recovery, donning a combative attitude. We are hoping that there will be less contact for a while until she can get a little further in her healing.
It is becoming increasingly clear that Stephanie's children are ready for placement elsewhere. While that can be good news for the children, in that it holds out hope for more stability in their lives, it has been a hard blow for Stephanie.
Stephanie is still quite hostile toward Bernadette as well. Thta is taking a toll on Bernadette sa well.
They both desperately need your continued.prayers
